What should we do when a user account is no longer needed or a user has left our organization. When a user is leaving your organization or their user account is no longer needed the following steps should be followed to ensure they no longer have access to projects and to Distiller:
Please note, these steps can only be performed by the overall administrator or a user that has extended Global Permissions with the appropriate User Management permissions.
- Under the Manage Users menu selection, locate the username you wish to disable
- Revoke their license by unchecking the box under the DistillerSR Enable / Disable column, if they have Curator access, revoke their Curator license by unchecking the box under the CuratorSR Enable/Disable column beside their name
- Click on the Project Assignments button beside their name in the Actions section, you will be presented with a list of all projects that they are assigned to, uncheck all boxes beside the projects they have been assigned to and click on the Save button at the bottom of the screen. This will remove any access to the projects.
Note: Users cannot be deleted from Distiller. If you wish to no longer see the disabled users in your user list, please contact support@distillersr.com and our support team will help you through this.
