To import your references from a CSV file on the Find and Import References screen, there are a few formatting requirements for the file itself. The column header must include the name of the reference field (also known as Tags in DistillerSR) that corresponds to the data in the column. Optionally, there can be either a "RefID" or an "ID" column with a value for each reference in order for it to be imported into your Project. If this RefID/ID column is not present, then you must assign a RefID in the Assign RefID section during the import of your references into DistillerSR. The column headers are required so that they map to reference Tags in your Project.
In the example below, there are four references with RefIDs ranging from 1 to 4, and the column headers (Title, Author, and Year) correspond to the reference fields that exist in your Project, or will be added to a new Project.
