When using Smart Evidence Extraction (SEE), submission may be blocked if SEE adds an automated evidence payload (like a large data table) exceeding the 3,000-character limit. The backend then prevents saving due to this limit.
How to Identify the Issue
Check if:
- Submission Fails: Clicking "Submit" does not progress despite all questions answered.
- Large Automated Data: SEE-generated evidence includes very long text or complex tables (not your typed answers).
Workaround
To fix this immediately, remove the oversized evidence from the review screen:
- Open the problematic reference form.
- Find the question with the large SEE text or table.
- Click Manage Evidence on that question.
- Click the X next to the large evidence to delete it. (Your typed answer remains intact.)
- Scroll down and click Submit. The reference should save successfully.
