Initially hidden questions are a great option to use in your Forms if you have questions that do not need to be answered unless a specific answer is submitted in an earlier question. For example, if a reviewer answers "Yes" to include a reference, additional questions can be displayed by the Form to fill out. If they selected "No" to exclude a reference, no other questions would be displayed.
It is possible to have initially hidden questions appear under the parent question, even if the initially hidden questions are further down the list of all your questions on a Form. For example, in this Form, we have 6 questions:
In this Form, questions #4-6 are initially hidden questions, where the parent question is #1 and the parent answer is "Yes" to that question. Additionally, since these initially hidden questions should be embedded right below question #1 if the answer "Yes" is selected, the option "Embed this question below parent answer" should be checked. Your Question Editor should look like this for questions #4-6:
Finally, in the Form preview, your Form would display the hidden questions right under the parent question if the answer "Yes" was selected:
And like so if "No" was selected:
Note that initially hidden questions can be embedded to appear anywhere in your Form, regardless of their question number e.g. question #75 could be initially hidden and be embedded below question #1, instead of appearing at the bottom of the Form.
